Due to warmer weather conditions, fire danger, an increase of abandoned campfires, and for public safety, Coconino National Forest officials implemented additional fire restrictions that began Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 8 a.m.
This means that campfires are prohibited until our summer monsoon rains bring significant precipitation to lessen the chance of wildfires. Smoking is prohibited on the grounds as well.
Conditions are extremely dry, and we appreciate your understanding and know you love the beauty of our forests as much as we do. Thank you for helping us take care of them!
