Season Passholders
In addition to Ski + Snowshoe policies, passholders agree to the following waiver:
In consideration of myself or my child being permitted to participate in any way at the Arizona Nordic Village, “Peak Endeavors LLC”, I represent that I do, on behalf of myself OR my child:
1. I understand that the sports of cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and other sports (collectively “RECREATIONAL SNOW SPORTS”) involve inherent and other risks of INJURY and DEATH. I voluntarily agree to expressly assume all risks of injury and death that may result from these RECREATIONAL SNOW SPORTS, or which relate in any way to the use of Peak Endeavors LLC dba Arizona
Nordic Village property.
2. I AGREE TO NOT SUE AND TO RELEASE Peak Endeavors LLC dba Arizona Nordic Village (“Babbitt Ranches”) or their employees, owners, affiliates, agents, officers, directors, and the equipment manufacturers and distributors and their successors in interest (collectively “PROVIDERS”) from all injury, death, property loss and damage or the related liability which results from the equipment
users participation in RECREATIONAL SNOW SPORTS, or which is related in any way to the use of this property, including all liability which results from the NEGLIGENCE of PROVIDERS, or any other person or cause.
3. I further agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify PROVIDERS for any loss or damage, including any that results from claims or lawsuits for personal injury, death, and property loss and damage related in any way to the use of this property.
4. This agreement is governed by the applicable laws of this state. If provision of this agreement is determined unenforceable, all other provisions shall be given full force and effect.
While passholders have 24/7 access, it is prohibited to give the gate code out to guests who are not passholders. Guests of passholders must purchase a pass or redeem the free trail pass in the Lodge. Passholders receive a 20% discount on gear, lodging and retail items in the Lodge between the dates specified on their pass.
While ANV tries its best to provide guests with a one of a kind cross country ski experience, the weather does not always cooperate with our planned operations for the winter season. With the sale of a season pass, ANV plans to have trails open and groomed for at least 2 weeks per season. Passes are sold at buyer’s risk and ANV does not offer refunds. If conditions only permit us to be open less than 2 weeks a year, passholders will be offered a discount for next season’s pass.
Refunds for season passes are only granted for the following reasons:
1. TRANSFER OF EMPLOYMENT: If you are moving a minimum of 300 miles away for employment, we require a letter from your employer for a refund. This includes deployment/transfers for active duty military.
2. INJURY/ILLNESS: If you are unable to ski/snowboard due to injury or illness, we require a letter from your physician for a refund.
3. PREGNANCY: If you are unable to ski due to pregnancy, a letter is required from your physician for a refund.

We lock our gates promptly at 4pm; please ensure you have enough time to return to your vehicle by 4pm. If guests have not returned by 4pm, staff will sweep the trail system. If guests have not returned by 5pm, the Coconino County Sheriff in
addition to Search and Rescue may be called.
Respect Trail Closures: Obey all posted signs and notices. Trails may be closed for maintenance, adverse weather conditions, or wildlife protection.

No Motorized Vehicles: Motorized vehicles, including ATVs, motorcycles, snowmobiles and e-bikes, are not permitted on non-motorized trails.
Respect for Other Trail Users
1. Yielding Right of Way:
-
Equestrians: Hikers must yield to horses. When approaching horses, step off the trail and remain calm.

2. Speed Limits: Cyclists must control their speed at all times and adjust according to trail conditions, visibility, and the density of other users.
3. Dogs on Leash: Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Clean up after your dog. Dispose of waste in proper bins.
Safety
1. Wear Appropriate Gear: Wear proper footwear, helmets (for biking or skiing), and clothing suitable for weather conditions. Reflective gear is encouraged for visibility, especially in low-light conditions.
2. Carry Adequate Water and Supplies: Be prepared for outdoor conditions. Carry water, snacks, a first aid kit, and a map or trail app to help navigate the area. Paper maps are available in the Lodge and a digital map is available on the Gaia and All Trails apps.
3. Respect Trail Conditions: Avoid using trails in wet, muddy, or snowy conditions to prevent trail damage. Check for trail conditions before heading out.
4. Stay in Control: Always maintain control of your equipment. Whether hiking, cycling, or skiing, maintain a pace that allows you to safely respond to changes in terrain or other users.
Environmental Stewardship
1. Leave No Trace: Pack out all trash, including food wrappers, tissues, and pet waste. Leave nature as you found it for others to enjoy.

Lodging
ANV operates under a special use permit granted by the USDA Forest Service, adhering to their rules and regulations. Additionally, ANV’s frontcountry yurts and cabins are managed in accordance with Airbnb's policies. The following actions may result in guests being asked to leave the property without a refund:
-
Verbally or physically mistreating staff or other guests
-
Damaging property owned by the USFS or ANV
-
Ignoring instructions from ANV staff or USFS personnel
-
Disregarding USFS fire restrictions
-
Using marijuana inside or outside the units
-
Smoking of any kind inside the units
-
Hosting unauthorized guests or events
-
Creating excessive noise or disturbances after stated quiet hours
-
Engaging in illegal activities on the property
-
Trespassing or entering restricted areas
-
Leaving trash or personal items behind
-
Using the units for purposes other than their intended use (e.g., commercial activities)
-
Vandalizing or tampering with safety equipment, including fire extinguishers and alarms
-
Engaging in activities that violate local, state, or federal laws
In consideration for being permitted to use the yurts at Arizona Nordic Village (“ANV”), I acknowledge and agree to the following:
-
I understand that the use of our accommodations and trails involves inherent risks, including, but not limited to:
-
Wilderness Travel: Unpredictable road and trail conditions, and travel in mountainous terrain with obstacles that may not be visible.
-
Altitude Considerations: The cabins/yurts are located at an elevation of about 8,000 feet. This elevation can lead to altitude sickness and other health complications, such as high-altitude pulmonary or cerebral edema. Guests with existing health conditions, particularly heart or respiratory issues, should consult a healthcare provider before visiting.
-
Outdoor Activities: Risks associated with hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing, and other activities in a wilderness environment.
-
Physical Strain: The physical demand of hiking or traveling at high elevation can cause exhaustion, dehydration, muscle strains, or cardiovascular stress, particularly for those not accustomed to strenuous activities.
-
Dehydration or Heat Exhaustion: The need to drink enough water at higher altitudes to prevent dehydration and/or heat exhaustion, particularly if engaging in physical activity like hiking or biking.
-
Limited Services: Use of remote cabins/yurts with no communication systems or running water. Our off-grid facility depends on solar power and other limited resources, which may not reliably support medical devices (such as C-PAP machines). Guests with medical equipment should bring their own reliable power sources or consider staying at another facility.
-
Limited Medical Facilities: Risk of delayed access to emergency medical care or a lack of facilities for immediate treatment if an injury occurs.
-
Inexperience or Lack of Preparedness: The risks associated with visitors who may not have sufficient knowledge, skills, or equipment for wilderness travel or staying in off-grid accommodations.
-
Lack of Facilities for Special Needs: The risk of inadequate facilities or accommodations for people with mobility issues or other special needs due to the remote and rustic nature of the venue.
-
Changing Weather: Rapidly changing weather conditions, potentially extreme temperature changes, and storms in mountainous terrain.
-
I understand that the cabins/yurts are located in a high elevation wilderness environment, requiring good physical conditioning and skills. By booking these units, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with staying at ANV, including potential injury, paralysis, or death.
