Small Backcountry Yurts

These 12-foot backcountry yurts are a year-round camping adventure. Each yurt is located at a private trailside location anywhere from 2-3 miles from the Lodge. Each yurt is equipped with a woodstove and sleeping pads that make them the perfect backcountry yurt camping experience for two. Up to four can be accommodated. In the winter, you can snowshoe or ski out to the yurts. In the summer, you can hike or bike to the yurts. Driving on our trail system is prohibited. Check out the booking information below to learn more about our small yurts! Cancellation policy is 5 days before your booking date. ALL GUESTS TO THE BACKCOUNTRY MUST ARRIVE BY 1:00PM AND LEAVE TO THE UNIT NO LATER THAN 2:30PM NO EXCEPTIONS.

Amenities & Notes

  • Guests must bring lighting such as headlamps or flashlights as we no longer provide lanterns in our backcountry units.
  • Heating provided by a wood-burning stove inside each cabin. All Forest Service fire restrictions apply.
  • Firewood for the stove and campfires is available to purchase for $10 per crate. Firewood is provided free of charge November 15 - April 14.
  • There are portable restrooms at the yurts. The closest restrooms with running water are between 2-3 miles away at the lodge. 
  • Dogs are allowed for an additional $10 per dog per night. Please no dogs on the mattresses or you will be charged a $50 cleaning fee.
  • Running water is not available in the units, however, the lodge has running water, restrooms and showers.
  • Electricity is available in the lodge. 
  • We no longer offer gear shuttles to our small backcountry units.

Honeysuckle Yurt (CLOSED FOR WINTER)

  • Check-In Time: 1:00pm in the Lodge. We cannot accommodate check-in after 2:30pm. If you and your entire party are not able to leave by 2:30pm please consider renting one of our front country units. Guests are expected to bring anything not provided below and to pack in and pack out everything they will need for their stay including water and food. Guests will also be required to sign a waiver prior to departure. You must hike to this unit!
  • Check-Out Time: 10:00 am
  • Sleep Set-Up: Two twin mattress pads. Linens/bedding are not included - please bring your own sleeping bag to stay warm!
  • Guests: 2 people can be comfortably accommodated.
  • What's included: Rechargeable lantern, cleaning supplies, plastic bin for food storage, two folding chairs, a table, firewood, woodstove and snow shovel
  • Price: $80 per night


Please note that this unit is approximately 2 miles from the lodge and is hike or bike in only during the summer and hike, ski, snowshoe, or fat bike in only during the winter. 


Lupine Yurt (CLOSED FOR WINTER)
